we had a bit of a slow start to this session, but once we warmed up, we didn't quit! m turned one this spring and i was really excited to photograph her! she's such a sweet, doe-eyed child...

i don't typically do family sessions, but i don't think i was allowed to say no to this one! ;) after i agreed to do these for a family friend, i realized that all the family sessions i had ever done were three, maybe four people and half were under hip height. i found myself freaked out and unsure of what i would do with them. in the end, despite all ridiculous moves on my part, we had some images that i really like.
and if i'm ever convinced to do another one, i swear i won't keep squatting down like i were photographing a toddler... old habits die hard, i guess...

snow, snow please stay awhile!
my first session of the year was a frantic, last minute, let's get out there now sort of session. we've waited all winter for a decent amount of snow and we quickly realized it was going to melt fast and it might not come back for awhile. so i bundled up and tromped out to throw a few snowballs with H. here are just a few...
